What is the Producer's Reserve?
Although we work hard to make every bottle of Obìa Olive Oil exceptional—every year, one batch inevitably rises above the others. The factors that determine which batch is best include: weather, milling, quality of olives, and a bit of luck. We use this batch to participate and win international competitions and starting in 2024 we have begun to reserve a limited-amount for you!
The Cultivar
Most of our Obìa Olive Oil is made with Nera di Villacidro. But this year, we were able to harvest a different variety of olives known as Bosana. This variety is known for being higher in polyphenols and slightly more peppery than the Nera di Villacidro. For our 2024 Producer's reserve, we used only Bosana olives.
